Hi, I'm Joanne McClenaghan. I'm a seasoned Logistics Director & Executive Coach with a flair for Transforming Operations and Empowering Teams.
With nearly 40 years in large 3rd Party Logistics companies, I held many roles in multiple sectors, starting as a stock controller, into operations, up to a business unit director and on to a business improvement & implementation director with a few moves in and out of other central roles too.
Along the way, I earned a reputation as a "go-to fixer" and discovered I loved projects. I led many successful project implementations and developed a right first time mindset and approach that drove business wide operational excellence. I also became very passionate about helping people and teams to be the best they can be. This created a “side-line” in executive coaching and mentoring, working with individuals and teams to help them transform.
I started up Practical Reality in 2023 to go it alone. I wanted a better work life balance mixed with a role that allows me to focus on doing what I love best: Project Leadership, Transforming Leaders, Empowering Teams, Strategic Facilitations and Business Improvement. As well as a strong track record, I bring an unbiased, non judgemental, independent viewpoint with a way of working that is empathetic to those going through change and inclusivity in a bespoke solution that is tailored to what you need.
Making a tangible difference to individuals, teams and businesses, my company name embodies a simple viewpoint:
"Reality" represents the client's vision, goal, intention, or aspiration.
"Practical" signifies my ability of turning reality into something that is fully functional, commercially viable, enduring and exceeding expectations.
This is my gift: I can take your Reality and turn it into something Practical.
